Haven of Hope is a non-profit volunteer-driven, faith-based support program for female inmates recently released from incarceration.
Our mission is to minister to women whose lives have been devastated by crime, drugs, and alcohol in order to help them get on their feet during the critical time following their release from prison. Through our programs, we hope to help former prisoners productively assimilate back into society as they become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. We achieve this by providing food, shelter, employment opportunities, life-skills training, and short term Christian housing for those recently released from prison through our one year program. Our ministry hopes to be an outlet for local churches and their members to serve and live out what it means to be passionate followers of Jesus.
We are thankful for everyone who has a heart for this ministry and is willing to donate their time and energy into making Haven of Hope a welcoming environment.
The facility is at 1605 First St NW Ruskin and most of the work will be done there. However another very important facet of the job, telephone and texting support, can be done from home.
